The origins of Disability Pride Month can be traced back to the disability rights movement, which gained momentum in the 1970s and aimed to secure equal rights and opportunities for people with disabilities. The movement advocated for disability rights legislation, accessibility improvements, and social acceptance.<\/span><\/p>

Disability Pride Month serves several important purposes:<\/span><\/p>
